Shipping Policy
1. Export Terms (Incoterms 2020)
TunzaAgro primarily operates on FOB (Free On Board) terms from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) for air freight and Mombasa Port (MBA) for sea freight. We are also able to accommodate CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) requests depending on the destination and volume. All terms are clearly defined and agreed upon in the Proforma Invoice prior to shipment.
2. Air Freight Logistics
For highly perishable goods such as avocados, berries, and leafy greens, we utilize premium air freight partners. Shipments are typically dispatched within 24-48 hours of harvest to ensure maximum freshness.
- Destinations: Direct flights to major hubs in the GCC (Dubai, Doha, Riyadh) and Europe (Amsterdam, Brussels, London).
- Packaging: Reinforced, palletized air-freight boxes designed for airflow and protection.
3. Sea Freight Logistics
For bulk orders of heartier produce or coffee, we offer sea freight solutions via Mombasa. All containers are equipped with Controlled Atmosphere (CA) technology to maintain product integrity during transit.
- Transit Times: 15-25 days to Middle East, 25-35 days to Europe (estimated).
- Minimum Order: 1 x 40ft Reefer Customer.
4. Inspection & Compliance
All shipments undergo rigorous rigorous phytosanitary inspection by the Uganda Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF). We provide the following documentation with every shipment:
- Phytosanitary Certificate
- Certificate of Origin
- Commercial Invoice & Packing List
- Airway Bill / Bill of Lading
5. Claims & Returns
Due to the perishable nature of fresh produce, any claims regarding quality or quantity must be made within 24 hours of cargo arrival at the destination port. Evidence (photos/inspection reports) must be provided. We pride ourselves on fair resolutions and long-term partnerships.
